College applications are no joke. Twitter and other social media echo with the complaints of stressed-out seniors bemoaning their fates and praying for it to be over. On top of advanced courses, standardized tests and myriad activities outside of the classroom, students are expected to be able to sit down at the end of the day and fill out an endless series of applications for the colleges and universities they would like to attend.
